World of Anterra World and the Eye
Towns with daily routines, monster-filled dungeons, taverns to rest in and camps to sleep at. The Eye of Anterra is the mystery the main story circles, and the game is explicit that you can ignore it.
What can be said about Anterra before launch
One named region, four environment types, and a list of things the world hides. That is the honest inventory. No world map has been published by anyone, and the store page's description of "an expansive living world, with thriving towns, wild animals, and monster filled dungeons" is a mood rather than a measurement.
The three pages here cover what the developer has documented instead: how water works as a system, how breakables hide both loot and geography, and what we know about where anything actually is.
The pattern worth noticing
Every system 81monkeys has written about in 2026 serves the same idea — that the world should be inspected rather than crossed. Water you can see into, vines you can cut to reveal a cave, vases that give food, a mining substance you can misuse to open a wall. None of it is decoration.
That makes this section unusual for a wiki: there is very little to memorise and a lot to look at.

Water: fishing, sailing and deep water is the best-documented system in the game and the one that shapes terrain most. Breakables and hidden paths covers the other half of the exploration loop. The map page keeps the running list of every place the official material actually names — it is short on purpose.

Vases and baskets hide loot, food and surprises; thorn bushes, vines and spiderwebs hide paths, containers and cave mouths. How the breakables system works.

Water is a game mechanic in Anterra, not scenery: shallow and deep environments, creatures and resources that only appear near water, plus fishing and sailing.
