World of Anterra Platforms: Windows Only, Consoles Unconfirmed
One confirmed platform, five announced-then-silent ones. We keep the two states in separate columns instead of blending them into a platform list.
Last updated:
The only platform Steam lists for World of Anterra is Windows. PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mac and GOG all appeared in the game's 2022 Kickstarter messaging. None has been confirmed since, and none appears on the store page — so they are announcements, not platforms yet.
That distinction is the whole point of this page. Platform lists on aggregator sites tend to merge the two states into a single row, which is how "coming to PS5 and Switch" becomes a thing people believe.

Why the console question is genuinely open
There are two honest readings of the silence, and neither can be settled from outside the studio.
Reading one: the scope shrank. The Kickstarter promised a lot across a difficult development. The Founder's Journals describe funding problems, a partner folding and a rebuild. When a project goes through that, the platform list is usually the first thing trimmed, because each additional platform is a separate certification and a separate QA pass.
Reading two: the list is still the plan, just not sequenced. A Windows-first release with console ports later is a common shape for a small studio. Nothing in the announcements contradicts it, and nothing confirms it either.
What we will not do is pick one and print it as fact. If a console version is confirmed, it will appear on this page with a date.
What "Windows only" means for you right now
If you are deciding whether to wishlist based on where your friends play, the practical consequences are:
- PC is the safe assumption. It is the only platform with a store page, and the only one that has been stated in 2026.
- Crossplay changes the question. Steam lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer, so a console release later would not necessarily split the player base. That also means the co-op page matters more than the platform list for most people.
- Region is not the constraint either. Steam lists 16 supported languages, all with voice acting, including Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. A platform gap is not a localisation gap here.
Controller and handheld support
Steam's category list includes Full controller support, DualShock and DualSense support, and Steam Input API support. That is about input, not about which machines the game runs on — a distinction worth making, because controller support is sometimes read as a console announcement.
For handhelds, the realistic answer is the same as for any unreleased game: the rating appears after Valve tests a shipping build. Our release date page tracks whether a date has been set at all, which is the prerequisite for that test.
How this list gets updated
Platform rows change status only when there is a first-party statement: a store page change, a press release, or an announcement on the official channels. Third-party database entries are not treated as confirmations, because they are downstream of the same silence everyone else is working from.
Is World of Anterra coming to PS5?
Not confirmed. PlayStation appeared in 2022 Kickstarter messaging, but the Steam page lists Windows only and there has been no reconfirmation since.
Will it run on Steam Deck?
Unknown. Valve has not published a compatibility rating for the game, which is normal for an unreleased title.
Is Mac supported?
Not on Steam. Only Windows is listed. Mac appeared in the 2022 Kickstarter platform list and has not been mentioned since.
Does controller support mean a console version exists?
No. Steam lists full controller support for the Windows version. Console releases require a separate store listing, not just input support.
